something about the rhythm and the rhyme, combined with some of your pictures,
transported me to a campfire in the snow, with you singing out your cautionary tale in a cracked blues voice with a tear in your eye.

your pain has created a powerful image.

I feel honoured to have been given a glimpse.

This happens to be a problem in Toronto, too; but local services came to recognise the fact, as there is not a hot line for all Torontonians, where one can call and inform them about a pothole that is spotted. The services then must go that place and fill up the pothole.

Local TV network decided to make a research about how effective this service really is. What they did is they chose 10 potholes around city, they photographed and filmed them. Then they called this city service anonymously. The city promised that any pothole will be filled within a week (I think) from the time of the call. So they checked a day before the deadline, and all 10 potholes were already filled quite firm.

They gave 10 out of 10 to the city :)

Sometime in late August last year, before the school started, my fiancee and I went to one the most beautiful, somewhat a local preservation parks slash gardens in Toronto. And it really is a preservation, because oh so many little animals were there: we could recognise 3 types of squirrels alone!

And so there were various beautiful birds, too; we decided to try to feed them. It took some time, before the first few birds finally got over the fear, as they started flying closer and closer and then very close to our hands, ripping the little seeds we had out of our hands, and eventually they became really brave, as they just landed onto our hands and picked the food up.

It was absolutely wonderful!

Do you still have snow?

Because I thought we were the only black sheep in North America, having so much snow up to the beginning of April, and we haven't got any, for 15 degrees Celsius stands for 5 days now!

I have a certain antipathy towards Dan Browns works, mostly because of the way dominating part of audience treats it. By that I mean they (as far as I understood from several conversations with different people) treat it very scientific, information carrying, and full of knowledge. I have flipped through the Da Vinci Code and I believe his books can be described by none of these characteristics. As you said, these books are entertainment and shall not be taken as anything more than that. I think these people who this simply haven't got any idea what science really is and what an information carrying book really is.

Besides, I don't really like science fiction books -- as for myself, I'd rather read a science book to get some legitimate information, something that I can learn from. Instead, I enjoy authors like Dickens or Dostoevsky.
